LITTLE WALTHAM GREYHOUND STADIUM

The small Essex village of Little Waltham on the River Chelmer, just 5 kilometres from Chelmsford, had a greyhound track located on the Braintree road and situated at 0° 28' E 51° 47' N. The independently run flapping track first raced in early 1930, racing each Friday night. The standard races were run over 550 yards and the track continued to run successfully for 8 years until closing in 1938.
